New Year, New You! We used the power of words to make our New Year's Resolutions come to life. It was so much fun!
We used our bracelet blueprints to write poems about the "Colors of Us". We chose meaningful symbols and colors and represented those in our poems and movements. Hope you enjoyed our share!
We studied monarch butterflies and researched their life cycles as we watched our classroom monarchs change from caterpillars to butterflies. We created a game show to share our learning at assembly. Finally, we released our monarchs and tagged them in order to track their migration to Mexico.
We even got to watch one of our monarch butterflies emerge from the chrysalis. We also sent ambassador butterflies to children in Mexico and anticipate our own package of butterflies to arrive some time in April.
Mrs. Greco's Class
Every few months, we work together to share what we have been learning about in the classroom with our school and community at our Friday assembly. The students come up with what they would like to share and figure out how to present their learning. The students put together their share, and then we practice on stage. Teamwork, compromise and courage are keys to success!
